Peer Mediation is group of students, grades 10-12, who are trained in the mediation process to handle disputes and conflicts among their peers. The mediators meet once a month with their advisors to keep their skills sharp and have a formal training once a year. New mediators are selected yearly by application. The mediation process is confidential and run entirely by students. Peer mediation relies on teacher, administrator and student referrals which are available in the teacher mailroom. New members are selected in the spring. |
