CP World History – Syllabus
 The goal of this course is to provide you with an opportunity to explore the adventures of humankind.  By studying world history you can understand the past and recognize its contribution to the present and the future.  World history encompasses broad historical themes that happen again and again, providing meaning for events in the past and showing how they affect our contemporary life.  In this course we will be investigating the following units:

 Unit I – World Religions
Unit II – Renaissance & Reformation
Unit III – Scientific Revolution & Enlightenment
Unit IV – World Revolutions (English, American, & French)
Unit V – Industrialism & Imperialism
Unit VI – World War I
Unit VII – World War II
Unit VIII – Cold War & Asia
Unit IX – Middle East & Africa

 Grading Policy

 Grades in this class will be comprised from total points with both formative and summative assessments. The Tolland High School Writing, Reading, and Behavior rubrics will also be included in each quarter.
