Sometimes It's Almost Too Much

Key Words: Love, Grief, Bullying, Pilgrimage, Old Testament

I came across this article in the New York Times.

Joe Bell's son Jadin was gay.  He was teased and bullied.  And at fifteen he hanged himself on the playground.

The pain and sorrow was too much for Joe.  He quit his job and went on a journey of penace -- vowing to walk from his home in Oregon to New York City, where his son dreamed of finding happiness.

Joe never made it.  On October 8th, he was struck and killed by a driver who fell asleep at the wheel.

Ah, Life!  It's so beautiful.  And it can hurt so much.
