What is a Student Success Plan?
The Tolland Public Schools Student Success Plan (SSP) is an individualized student driven plan that is developed to address each students’s needs and interests.  It is built around the following three core components:

  • Academic Development
  • Career Development
  • Social, Emotional, & Physical Development

It is designed to help every student stay connected in school and to achieve postsecondary educational and career goals. The SSP begins in the 6th grade and continues through 12th grade.  Each student is provided support and assistance in setting goals for social, emotional, physical and academic growth, meeting rigorous high school expectations, and exploring postsecondary education and career interests. The SSP and supporting structures such as electronic portfolios, i.e. Family Connections, and academic/personal records follow each student from Tolland Middle School to Tolland High School. In each grade level, students are presented with a variety of programs and services based on 21st century learning expectations and skills.  Optional experiences are offered as well.  To view these programs, services, and experiences, click on the appropriate grade level subpage to the left.
