Course Information

This year I am teaching Spanish I, II and Spanish III.  Please select the course that you (or your child) are currently enrolled in from the navigation bar on the left.

Course Descriptions:

​Spanish I

Spanish I is an interactive course that develops introductory Spanish communication skills: reading, writing, speaking, and listening.  The student will acquire vocabulary, conversation patterns, grammar structure and Hispanic cultural knowledge in context through Total Physical Response Storytelling and the textbook Avancemos 1.

 

The state of the art language lab will be used to enhance the curriculum.



Español II

Spanish II is an interactive course that continues the development of Spanish communication skills through Total Physical Response Storytelling (TPRS).  The student will speak, listen, read, and write in the present and past tenses, develop practical vocabulary/conversation patterns, and cultural knowledge of the Hispanic world.  The student will read 2-3 novelettes.

Tolland High School's state of the art language lab will be used to enhance the curriculum.


Español III

Spanish III is an interactive course that continues the development of Spanish communication skills through the text series Avancemos 3 and a telenovela series Destinos.  We will concentrate on reading, writing, listening, and speaking, as well as major grammar units.
