"Hello (bing) there, you (gung) hap-py pee-pul (splat)."

Welcome to my official Tolland High School webpage.  Actually, where you want to go is over to Google Classroom.  That's where assignments are posted, electronic versions of classroom materials are kept.  (Students, go to "Find Your Course" and you can find a link there.)  Unfortunately, at least for the time being, that doesn't seem to be available to parents.  You have to have a THS email account (through Google), which all students have.

So, you can come here for some basic information, but Classroom is where its at.

There is plenty of useful general information in the panel to the left, which all should still be there.

"How many good people are there in the world?  Too many to count."
                                                                        ~Sherman Alexie

Of course it's easy to lose sight of that.  Mass shootings, terrorism, everyday greed and corruption.  But there are good people out there, and here are two.

So, how about Gary Civitello and Heather McGhee?   Heather - Garry

Heather is an African-American.  Garry is a white man from North Carolina (a.k.a. "the South", a.k.a. "Dixie"). Heather was appearing on C-Span.  Gary called in, and announced that he was a racist -- but he didn't want to be, and what could he do about it? Heather offered some suggestions.  Garry later came up with some ideas of his own.  Heather went to visit Garry in Asheville.  They struck up a friendship.  You can read about it here and here, or watch a video about it here or here.

People are angry these days.  The nation is divided.  And the two groups are going to their rooms and don't want to talk to one another.  But these two good people started talking, and look what happened.
